Asteya is a Sanskrit word meaning "non-stealing" or "non-appropriation." It's one of the fundamental ethical principles in yoga philosophy, representing the practice of not taking what doesn't belong to you— whether that's physical possessions, time, attention, or peace of mind.
We chose this name because we believe that much of modern technology steals from humanity— stealing our time through endless scrolling, our attention through manipulative notifications, and our wellbeing through addictive design patterns. Asteya Tech represents our commitment to building technology that doesn't steal from you.
