2.2 VPN Service and Network Monitoring Data

🔒 Local VPN - Privacy-First Monitoring

Our Android app uses a local VPN service to monitor network traffic and block access to restricted websites. VPN Service Details:

  • Local Processing: All traffic analysis occurs on your device - no data is sent to external servers
  • No External Routing: Your internet traffic is not routed through our servers or third-party VPN providers
  • Selective Monitoring: Only monitors access to websites specified in your active stakes
  • Automatic Termination: VPN service automatically stops when your commitment ends

When you use our mobile app during an active commitment, we collect:

  • Domain names of websites accessed (e.g., "instagram.com")
  • Timestamps of social media platform access
  • App usage data for monitored social media applications
  • Network connection metadata (IP addresses, connection duration)
  • VPN connection status and blocking events

We DO NOT collect: Personal messages, posts, photos, passwords, browsing history outside of monitored platforms, any content from your social media accounts, or any data from non-monitored websites.
